Token Gating

Token-Gating

Token-gating is a feature that allows server managers to automatically assign roles to users based on the ERC-20 tokens or ERC-721 NFTs they possess. To use token-gating in Opencord, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Server Gating Page

Create a server and navigate to the server settings page, click Gating.

Step 2: Add Token

Add the token or NFT that you want to use as a gatekeeper.

ERC-20 Token

For example: APECoin (opens in a new tab)

You can check your balance.

ERC-721 NFT

For example: Bored Ape Yacht Club (opens in a new tab)

Step 3: Set Gating Conditions

Select the role that you want to add token-gating to, and set the required quantity of tokens or NFTs that a user must possess to access the designated role.

Finally, save your changes.

🎉 Congratulations!

Once you have set up token-gating, Opencord will automatically assign server members to the designated role and grant them the corresponding permissions based on the tokens or NFTs they possess. This feature can streamline the management of your server and ensure that everyone has appropriate access and privileges.
